18 Weeks

Wow, it's hard to believe that in just 2 weeks, we'll be halfway through this pregnancy. How time flies!!

Jack should be about 5 inches long, (that's crown to rump not head to toe) and he weighs about 5 oz. (Or a bag of crutons. :) I had to find something to compare to, and that's what I found in the pantry.
He moves like crazy, and I feel him all the time. It's amazing! They're not hard kicks, nor can Michael feel him yet, but I can and I love it!!
Jack is practicing his yawn in there, and his nervous system is maturing rapidly. His hearing is becoming more acute, and he can hear sounds from inside as well as outside of my body.

The past few weeks, I've been incredibly hungry. They say this is a normal response to Jack's rapid growth. I've been trying to eat healthy, but sometimes that craving for a burger, pizza, ice cream, chicken pot pie, cookies.... you get the idea..... takes over. But I'm trying :)
As of my doctors appointment last week, I'm at 117 1/2 lbs. That's + 4 1/2 lbs so far. Eeek.
My back aches some due to my canteloupe sized uterus pulling forward, and my lower back trying to compensate.
Oh, and have I talked about pregnancy brain yet?? It's real, and I have it. Michael is in awe of my forgetfulness, ditziness, spaciness, and mindless acts.
The other day I put my shoes on the wrong feet. Well, shoe. I figured it out after one. Oh, I also brought my dog along for a car ride, but left her in the driveway. Luckily my friend was with me, and she asked about Cali before I made it out of the driveway.
Thank goodness my job isn't a rocket scientist or a brain doctor. Then we'd really be in trouble.

Here's me at 18 weeks:
